Just like any other college student, I have meandered over which major truly fits me. I started out as an International Business major with a guaranteed spot in the prestigious program at USC as well as 15 month study abroad to Hong Kong where I'd attend Chinese University of Hong Kong. Seemed amazing when I got in and still seems amazing now that I'm not in the program anymore. It just was not me. So I meandered further where I was like okay Fashion Merchandising and Global Supply Chain and Operations Management: the perfect mix between Project Runway, Zara, and Goldman Sachs. Again, not for me. So then, I'm thinking just stay in the business school and figure it out. I began to think of my idols and the ultimate goal is to be Olivia Pope. What does Olivia Pope have? An extensive background in public relations (she did run Fitz' campaign TWICE) and a law degree. DING DING DING. My major path is Olivia Pope. I am now a public relations major thought the SJMC and I plan on getting my law degree. So ten years from now, my life will become a live action version of Scandal minus all the scandals. Avery will be the president. I will be a wonderful mix of Mellie and Olivia (the irony of this is not lost on me). Again, minus all the scandals.
